I really like the location of this hotel. Although it's not in the city, it's not too hard to get to places via Uber. The facility was designed nicely (great views, nice pools, etc.) but is not maintained well. The water went out for almost two whole days of our stay, and we all got sick from the water afterwards. There was a horrific smell in our room, smelled like bug spray, and when we asked they didn't really address it. There was a tub in our room, BUT it didn't work so you had to take a shower and with a toddler I would have loved that tub. No information in the rooms on the property and only a coffee maker in one of our rooms, even after I asked for one in our other room. The restaurant is expensive, but pretty decent food. THAT BEING SAID- The staff is wonderful in the restaurants, pool, cleaning crew, valets... VERY nice and helpful. Our favorite guard/valet even took my kids and mom on a golf cart tour of the property to see cabybara, sloths, feed crocodiles, birds! There is a lovely little nature trail and butterfly house and frog habitat to explore (but we were not told about it at check in.) The facility has the potential to be a great eco-type resort but somehow they haven't kept up the property. Would be a nice place for family gatherings, business retreats, reunions and could make the owners a lot of money if managed properly.
First the good. It is a very nice location for visiting the Rainforest and that's why we booked it. Quite a bit less in price than the Rainforest Hotel. The facility is a midrange property. The first room was unacceptable and we moved on the 2nd night. Breakfast buffet is nothing special with limited variety. When we were there they had a wedding and closed the pool area. Also there was noise late into the evening. They did refund us a little and they tried hard to make things work. There are some nice walks through the rainforest right on the property. I suggest you book a room on the top floor overlooking the canopy in the back of the hotel.
Best customer serve ever in Panama, the hotel is beautiful and spacious, room is impeccably clean and super big, with a veranda looking up to the jungle. We experienced a dream bed, amazing sleep. In fact it was hard to leave the bed. Bathroom also impecable with plentiful hot water. The pool was so beautiful as well but we had a convention to attend and could not enjoy it. Breakfast is a plus. A+ for sure.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 6 night. It was a quiet get away. We loved the pools and nature walks. The bed was very comfortable, room was clean. We definitely will stay there again. We also were able to see wildlife we normally would never see.
