Very, very friendly. I wish that I could have stayed longer.
Casa del Rayo Verde is a relaxing and quiet little hotel right on the sea wall. We loved sitting on the veranda of our Verde Luna room watching the boats come and go. It's just a basic small and clean room with a bed and bedside tables. The bed is extremely comfortable and the sheets are clean. The air conditioning unit was silent and worked well and the shower was excellent. We boiled the kettle for endless cups of tea and coffee and bought fruit off a street seller for a delicious breakfast on the veranda. We checked in easily at hotel Congo just 100m away and ended up having a delicious lunch there. They gave us access to our room early, about 12pm, which was great. It is a little bit more expensive than usual, but the whole port is. We'd recommend it, especially if you've sailed in from a Cartegena as we did.. It was a bit expensive but worth it compared to other rooms
Hammock and view over the bay were good. Air conditioning was efficient. Confusion over how to get the keys. actually have to go to Casa Congo where they kept us waiting for 2 hours although the room was ready.People who had checked out but not left were occupying the hammock and chairs outside our room for 2 hours and would not move. There is no one on site to address any issues. No breakfast was available, internet was there but no code was made available so useless. Would not recommend unless you are desperate to see Portobello which is better done as a day trip from Panama City
